Ravi Bishnoi -With his Player of the Series triumph in their 4-1 series win against Australia, Ravi Bishnoi is now number one in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, pushing Rashid Khan out of the top spot. With nine wickets in five games, the 23-year-old leg-spinner moved up to the top of the rankings with 699 ratings points in the weekly update that takes into account the performances of the week ending on December 4.
Bishnoi’s rapid ascension can be attributed to his consistency, as he has taken 34 wickets in 21 matches since making his T20I debut in February 2022.
Additional bowlers to climb up the rankings include Australia’s Aaron Hardie, who shot up 341 places to 180th, Avesh Khan, who shot up 125 places to 176th, and fellow India star Axar Patel, who jumped 16 spots to 11th place with 638 points. Patel advanced fifteen spots to rank fifteen on the all-arounders list.
Yashasvi Jaiswal of India moved up 16 spots to rank 19th (581 points) on the hitters list, and Travis Head moved up 16 spots to rank 29th (548 points).
The visiting captain, Kane Williamson, is still ranked first among batsmen in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings, which take into account performances from the first Test match between New Zealand and Bangladesh in Sylhet. Williamson’s century against Bangladesh this past week contributed to their defeat. He finishes with 883 ratings points, 24 more than Joe Root of England, who is ranked number two with 859, following Bangladesh’s convincing 150-run triumph.

However, Taijul Islam, who was named Player of the Match in the match against New Zealand, rose to a career-high 14th place from 18th position thanks to his 10 wickets. With his current total of 708 points, he has surpassed Shakib Al Hasan’s 705 from August 2017 as the highest-scoring bowler from Bangladesh.
With 188 points, Kyle Jamieson re-entered both the bowlers’ list in 13th position and the all-rounders’ list in 15th place. Among the bowlers, Nayeem Hasan of Bangladesh and Glenn Phillips of the BLACK CAPS re-entered in 49th and 85th place, respectively. Additionally, the two returned to the list of all-rounders, ranking 59th and 66th, respectively.
West Indies captain Shai Hope rose four spots to 11th place with 698 in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings. Shubman Gill of India continues to lead the batters list with 826 points. This comes after Hope hit his 16th century in the opening match of their successful ODI series against England in Antigua over the weekend.
