2023 Mizoram Election Results Updates

2023 Mizoram Election Results Updates: MNF, ZPM involved in close fight; calculating of votes to begin at 8 am on Monday.

Mizoram Election Result 2023, Mizoram Assembly Election Results 2023 LIVE: Voting for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly Elections is set to start at 8 am on Monday (December 4, 2023), held under three-tier security procedures. A total of 12 counting observers have been selected by the Election Commission of India (ECI), as stated by Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Nazuk Kumar.

While the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) keeps a great possibility of winning, as revealed by numerous top exit polls shown by Zee News, other regional party — the Zoram The public’s Movement (ZPM), is also involved in a close race.

Yet, proclaiming a clear victory in this election, where Chief Minister Zoramthanga and Shri Lalduhoma are the prominent faces for MNF and ZPM respectively, remains dubious.

Speaking to the Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Nazuk Kumar, every detail and preparations for the result day have been done. “Our numbering day will be Monday, which is December 4, so counting will begin at 8 am and all of our things are in place because we were prepared for Sunday. Then there will be an independent counting table for postal votes,” Nazuk told ANI.
